1938
Founding: The Origin of Manufacturing
Established the predecessor company, Sanwa Seiki Co., Ltd. Here lies the origin of our pursuit of “manufacturing essential to society,” evolving our technology and organization alongside the development of vehicles supporting Japan's logistics and construction sites.
1948
Entering the Automotive Industry with an looking ahead to the Future
Witnessing the mass transportation system brought by American trucks after the war, we became convinced that “the age of automobiles was upon us.” Leveraging pneumatic technology, we began producing air compressors, quietly supporting the domestic production of trucks. Changed the company name to Sanwa Seiki Co., Ltd.
1981
Japan's First Electric Cab-Tilt System
Decided to adopt a fully floating cab to reduce driver fatigue in large trucks. To achieve ride comfort comparable to passenger cars, we developed Japan's first electric tilt pump for the essential cab-tilt mechanism and began mass production. 1983: Established the Hanyu Plant as a new production base for vacuum pumps.
1997～
Established Reliable Quality and Trust
Strengthened the quality foundation through ISO 9001 certification. Upholding the principle of “100% good products,” established Miwa Seiki's unique high-precision manufacturing system, earning solid trust from customers both domestically and internationally.
2012～
Becoming a Unique Presence
Relocated headquarters and main factory to Kawagoe City to create a production base focused on expanding orders for core products and improving production efficiency. Hanyu Factory began production of newly ordered vacuum pumps for passenger vehicles. Achieved annual sales of ¥20 billion in 2014.

The Future of Sanwa Seiki
Building on our core expertise in pneumatic and hydraulic technologies, we will challenge new domains beyond commercial vehicles, passenger cars, and construction machinery—expanding into industrial machinery, agricultural machinery, and motorcycles. As we move toward a future where “a society that keeps moving” and “mutually supportive infrastructure” become the norm, Sanwa Seiki will continue refining our reliable technologies behind the scenes.
